Pansit Lomi Recipe #LutongTatay

Its a cold Sunday, and nothing else better than a cuddle and a hot soup. I always get a cuddle, and everyone wants me to prepare them hot noodle soup. Its unplanned and not in our menu for the week. So, I checked the pantry to see what I can cook for them. A Pancit Lomi is all I can manage today, they did not disagree.

Here is the recipe:
1 package (14 ounces) lomi noodles.

1 cup pork shoulder, cut into thin strips.
1 medium sized onion, peeled and chopped.
4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced.
1 chicken or pork cube
2 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in water
black pepper

  1. Heat oil in a cooking pot.
  2. Add the sliced pork. Cook until the pork turns light brown.
  3. Remove and set aside
  4. Saute garlic, onion, and carrots.
  5. Add chicken or pork cube.
  6. Pour water into the pot. Let boil.
  7. Black pepper and salt to taste.
  8.  Stir.
  9. Add miki noodles.
  10. Add the pork
  11. Pour the dissolved cornstarch, stir.
  12. Add cabbage and lomi noodles.
  13. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
